North Side Bands

The North Side Marching Legends took part in the Homestead Fall Festival of Bands on September 29th.  After a week of hard work on new elements to this year’s show, “Spaced Out – The Music of David Bowie”, everyone was ready to give their best effort.

Hard work pays off. North Side was pleased to bring home caption awards for Best Music and Best General Effect. The band brought home first place in a competitive Open Class B. The Legends earned the highest score of the day’s competitions. That means the traveling Grand Champion trophy will return to East State Boulevard for the first time since the Mighty Marching Redskins won the trophy in 1984.
